This Sunday: All Saints' Sunday

Joy Harjo writes, "My grandmother exists in me now, just as I will and already do within my grandchildren. No one ever truly dies. The desires of our hearts make a path. We create legacy with our thoughts and dreams." And so today we lift up that legacy as we celebrate our ancestors on this All Saints/All Souls weekend. Join us on Zoom for what is always a powerful worship experience.

We'll be exploring Exodus 13, and the odd revelation that as the Israelite people journey in the wilderness, they are carrying the bones of their ancestor Joseph with them. Why Joseph? Is it just about lugging his bones around, or is there something deeper going on here?  Don't forget to bring your photos, mementos, and stories to share about your own ancestral legacy (acknowledging that sometimes that legacy is for better or worse).

I look forward to being with you for Creating A Legacy With Our Thoughts and Dreams: A Celebration of Ancestors, Bones,( עַצְמוֹת/etzemot) and Journeying. — Rev. Jeanne
