Sunday morning we will celebrate, recognize, and bless those who are caregivers in our beloved community (That really is all of us…).
Many of us give care in obvious ways- to children, parents, spouses, and beloved friends and family members. We also give care to students, congregations, our community, and those who are treated unjustly, and each other. In the spirit of one of our readings by Anne Lamott- We are called to be in prayer and conversation with God as we are caring for others- whether we are shouting “Help!” “Wow!” Or “Thanks!” Jesus also gives us some great pointers (Luke 6 will be our focus) about how to manage the energy necessary for our challenging, caregiving work. I invite everyone to come and receive a blessing of your caring hands this morning- and to tend to our prayerful longings to be in deep relationship with the Holy and with each other. See you there! -Rev. Jeanne
